Post qualifying in 1980 working in City of Edinburgh with Housing Associations - East Lothian Design Studio set up 1988 - General Architectural Practice with an element of Design Tutoring, together with collaborative projects such as: The Galleria, Doha, Qatar for High End Retail; London Showroom for Bally Shoes; Ferry Port for Scotland; Expansion of a major E. Lothian town; Revitalisation of Spott Village with new housing & major Drainage Infrastructure; Relocation of a Dairy Farm & Work to Re-establish a local Railstop.
Working in the Rural Lothians gave access to a wider range of Projects & Experience, encompassing Domestic (Individual New houses & Alterations & Extension), Commercial (inc. Retail, Veterinary & Optometry), Educational (Classrooms & National Athletics) & Industrial (including Farming & Breweries), with a range of sensitive sites & Listed Buildings, from Inception through Detail to Completion, or to a selected Stage.
